Danny L. “Slu-foot” Stoner, Sr., 72 of Stoystown died May 10, 2015 at home. Born March 24, 1943 in Butler, son of Jess and Grace (Stewart) Stoner. Preceded in death by parents, foster parents Edward J. and Alice H. Marts, sister Florine “Peach Ella” Kiddle, and brother Bobby Stoner.
Survived by sons: Dan Jr. and girlfriend Lindsay Dorcon, Stoystown, and Korey S. married to the former Margaret Strait, Fairmont, W. Va.;
grandchildren: Allex, Madison, Daniel, Charles and Adeline;
sister: Carol Grossman and husband Ronald and their children;
brother: Larry Marts and wife Bonnie and their children;
sister: Lynne Tomlinson and husband William; and
friend and caregiver Jackie Tressler.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a retired truck driver for New Enterprise.
Member of Robert P. Hite Post 257 American Legion, Stoystown.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 6th at 11 a.m. at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Samuel Draper officiating.
