David Leroy Ogden, 92, Berlin, died March 22, 2017. Born June 10, 1924 in Clearfield, son of Harvey L. and Leona M. (Keller) Ogden. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Mildred Capan and Freda Fredricks, brother William, and step children Amy Ackerman, Larry Smith, and Richard Miller. Survived by his wife of 17 years the former Freda (Rice) Shumaker; children: Debra Ogden, Patricia Smidt, Michael, and David Jr.; step children: JoAnn Parker, Sandra Dunn, Robert Dunn, Diane Howard, Robert (Judy) Shumaker, Joyce Smith, and Scott Shumaker; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 and then worked for the Civil Service. Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren, VFW, and the American Legion. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 1, 2017 at Beachdale Church of the Brethren. David Knieriem officiating. Inurnment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
