Florence “June” Hambley, 84, Hooversville, died Oct. 3, 2015 at home. Born June 4, 1931 in Perry Point, MD, daughter of John D. and Florence H. (Cord) Brogan. Preceded in death by parents; husband Richard Charles “Dick”; sons Donald and Dennis; daughter Bonnie Hambley; and sisters Thelma, Catherine and Ginny. Survived by sons: Richard Jr. married to the former Kathi Starnes, and Daniel Hambley, all of Somerset; grandchildren: Richard III, Christine “Tina”, Billy, Cindy, Jeffrey, Bradley, and Matthew; great grandchildren: Alexander, Shania, Jeremy, Tori, Braden, Gavin, Ryken, Cheyanne, Whitney, Maria, Brooke, Brant, Brianna, Madox, Haley, and Logan; great great grandsons: Noah and Carter; sister Evelyn; and brother John. She was an incredible mother, wife, and grandmother. Gram enjoyed fishing, boating, puzzles, crafting just about everything, cooking and baking, badminton, gardening, bird watching, Bingo, and most of all enjoyed and loved her family. She was a loving and doting gram that always had a camera in hand at every event to cherish the memories. Her and Dick traveled to Florida each winter after retirement in their camper to enjoy the sun and the fishing with the many friends they made over the years. Gram was a special woman that was never angry, quick to offer a hug or something to eat, and always proud of her family. She was a loving and kind woman that endured way more heartache than anybody deserves. Though she lost her husband and only daughter to cancer, and two sons in accidents, she still smiled and always saw the good in the world. She will be missed by many. A special thanks to everyone that made it possible for her to remain at home: Tracey Dill and her girls Haley and Heather, all the loving nurses and caregivers at Conemaugh Hospice, the staff at Laurelwood Care Center, and Nikki, Nichole, and Kristine. God bless you all for making her last days a little brighter. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. John Eash officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Conemaugh Hospice, 1086 Franklin St., Johnstown, PA 15905. DeanerFuneralsAndCremations.com
