Henry E. Rosenberger

Henry E. Rosenberger, 81, Berlin, died March 24, 2017 at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 29, 1935 in Meyersdale, son of Marshall and Gladys (Miller) Rosenberger. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: Charles “Tip”, James “Chum”, and Robert “Whitey”; and sisters: Catherine “PeeWee” and Flora Mae “Duck” Gary. Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Deloris Beal; children: Terrence and companion Eileen Wood, N. Carolina, Gerry (Michele) and Wendy, both of Berlin, and George (Susan), Meyersdale; grandchildren: Julie Livingston, Kyle, Brandon, and Christina Rosenberger, Tiffany Latuch, and Kelli Powell; and great grandchildren: Beila, Peyton, Kyle, Grant, Cooper, Ally, Ayla, Korinne, Charlotte, and Scott, with Owen due in April. He attended the Whittenburg School and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was employed by GTE/Verizon for 27 years. Member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Meyersdale, where he served as a greeter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Jeri Penrod officiating.
