The last time I saw Jeff and Jane was at my mother's funeral in Dec. 2012. While a sad occasion, it was delightful catching up and I had hoped to see he and Jane again in happier circumstances. His calls reminding us of the annual Burkholder reunion showed his concern that his cousins in eastern Pa. be included. I know I will see Jeff again, at the best reunion of all, when I enter heaven's gates. Until then, Jeff will be missed but not forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to Jane, his sons and grandchildren, sisters Joyce and Julie and Aunt Pat.

So sorry to hear about Jeff! About eight years ago I ran into Jeff near Somerset. My youngest son had just quit college and was thinking of becoming an airplane mechanic. Jeff gave us great information about PIA and stories about his experiences as a mechanic. My son has been an airplane mechanic for five years at the airport in Vegas. Thanks Jeff for helping us out. You will never know how you touched our lives in that moment. We will be thankful forever

I am grieved to hear of Jeff's passing and send my deepest condolences to Jane and family in your time of loss and sorrow. All my memories of Jeff are such pleasant ones -- at school, on the school bus to and from school, him coming over to the farm to play basketball in our barn... When I was back home two years ago, Jeff stopped by the farmhouse and he caught me up on most everyone in out graduating class. It was like the 45 years intervening since the time we had last seen each other had never existed. It was such a fun time with such a warm person. May he be at peace.
