Madaline R. Hershberger, 93, Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Somerset, died Jan. 22, 2016 at home. Born July 16, 1922 in Jenner Township, daughter of W. Clyde and Florence (Winters) Zimmerman.
Preceded in death by parents; husband Cloyd L. Hershberger; sons-in-law: Robert G. Robinson and Jeffrey Pritts; sisters: Maude Powell, Florence Snyder, and Alice Blough; and brother Michael Zimmerman.
Survived by daughters: Martha Robinson, Lakeland, Fla., and Ellen (Dan) Rejda, Waco, Tex.; son: Alan Hershberger, Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren: Robert D. (Jody) Robinson, Steven (Natalie) and Lindsay Pritts; step grandchildren: Jennifer (Tejae) Race and Danny (Betty) Rejda; great grandchildren: Nick and Alex Robinson; step great grandchildren: Jaxon Race and Hunter Rejda; and sister Peggy (Robert) Blough.
Madaline is a 1940 graduate of Boswell High School and 30 plus year retiree of Verizon (GTE) Phone Co. Life member of D.A.R. and a member of American Legion Auxiliary since 1972. She was a talented seamstress and avid reader.
