Frank A. Grandas, 74, Hooversville, died July 18, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born October 10, 1941 in Johnstown, son of Andrew Sr. and Susie (Honkus) Grandas. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers: Jerry, John, Stanley, and David Grandas.  Survived by his wife of 52 years the former Eileen Leone; children: Karrina married to David Bassett, Johnstown, Frank “Rick” Grandas and wife Stacy (Lambiase), Hooversville, and Dr. Mark Grandas and wife Dr. Laura (Lehn), York; grandchildren: Nikole married to Michael DeBarto, Jacquelyn Bassett, Ericallen, Emma, Frankie, Zachary, Caleb, Anna, Grace, and Elijah Grandas; brothers Andrew (Joan) Grandas Jr., Larry, and Daniel Grandas; and several nieces, nephews, and godsons. He was a 1960 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired carpenter from local 1419. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, Knights of Columbus, and National Right to Life. He loved his family and his Lord. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where a vigil service will be held at 2 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville.
